A powerful 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck off the eastern coast of Kamchatka, Russia, on Friday morning. Five aftershocks, including one measuring 5.8 in magnitude, were felt. A tsunami warning was issued. Waves of 30 to 62 centimeters were recorded along the coast.
