Indian cricket stars are expected to gather in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, to attend the wedding of Rishabh Pant’s sister, Sakshi Pant. The wedding ceremonies will take place at a private location in Mussoorie on Tuesday and Wednesday. Among the expected guests are India captain Rohit Sharma, star batter Virat Kohli, and former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Sakshi is marrying businessman Ankit Chaudhary, whom she got engaged to last year after being in a relationship for nearly nine years. Dhoni was also present at their engagement ceremony in London in January 2024.

Sakshi, who studied in the UK, has gained a significant following on social media, thanks to her travel photos and stylish outfits.

Rishabh Pant, a key member of India’s Champions Trophy-winning team, played a pivotal role in the team’s victory over New Zealand in the final, securing India’s third title. He survived a near-fatal car crash in December 2022 and, after undergoing multiple surgeries and a lengthy rehabilitation process, made a triumphant return to cricket. Pant helped India win the T20 World Cup and marked his comeback to Test cricket with a match-winning century against Bangladesh in September 2024, equaling MS Dhoni’s record for the most Test centuries by an Indian wicketkeeper.

Pant also became the most expensive player in IPL history during the 2025 mega auction, when Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) bought him for Rs 27 crore in Jeddah last November. This broke the previous record set by Punjab Kings (PBKS), who had bought Shreyas Iyer for Rs 26.75 crore just minutes earlier.

In January, Pant was officially named the captain of LSG for IPL 2025, with the season set to begin on March 22.
