“Let a girl come forward”: Raj Kundra Dares Accusers to Present Proof

Businessman Raj Kundra, husband of Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty, has addressed allegations surrounding his involvement in the production and distribution of pornographic content. Kundra’s remarks come after he was recently summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) as part of an ongoing money laundering probe linked to the pornography case.

The ED had conducted raids at multiple locations associated with Kundra, who was earlier arrested in July 2021 by the Mumbai Police for allegedly producing and distributing explicit content. Kundra was later granted bail and has consistently denied the accusations, calling himself a “scapegoat” in the matter.

Breaking his silence, Kundra dismissed any claims of wrongdoing. He said, “Till date, I have not been a part of any pornography, any production, nothing to do with porn at all. When this allegation came to light, it was very hurtful. The reason bail was granted was because there were no facts or evidence to support this. I know I have not done anything wrong.”

Explaining his connection to the technology behind certain apps under scrutiny, Kundra clarified, “As far as running an app is concerned, there was a listed company in my son’s name. We used to provide technology services. We provided technology services to my brother-in-law’s company, Kenrin, which launched an app running from the UK. It was bold for sure, made for an older audience, and had A-rated films, but they were not pornographic at all.”

Challenging the allegations directly, Kundra stated, “Let a girl come forward who says that I have met Raj Kundra, worked in any of his movies, or that Raj Kundra ever produced any movie. Media says I am the kingpin of all 13 apps. I was involved only in software technology and nothing illegal was being run on that app.”

The controversy began in February 2021 when the Mumbai Police initiated an investigation into an alleged pornography racket following complaints by several women. These women claimed they were coerced into creating explicit content under false promises of opportunities in web series and films. They alleged they were pressured to complete shoots, with the content later distributed on subscription-based platforms like HotHit Movies, Hotshots, and websites such as Nuefliks and Hothitmovies.

Raj Kundra’s name surfaced as a key figure in the investigation, with authorities probing his involvement. However, Kundra has maintained that his role was strictly limited to technological support and denied participating in the production or distribution of any pornographic material.

The investigation remains ongoing, with further developments anticipated as the ED continues its probe into the financial aspects of the case.
