‘Aise Thappad Marungi Na’: Noida Pet Dispute Escalates as Women Slaps Elderly Couple | WATCH

A dispute over pet dog etiquette has sparked a public outcry and led to legal action in a Noida residential complex, where an elderly couple was allegedly assaulted by two women after requesting that they leash their dog. The altercation, recorded by a bystander, shows a shocking escalation of the confrontation, resulting in one of the women slapping both the elderly man and woman.

The incident took place at Hyde Park society in Noida’s Sector 78, where the two women and an elderly couple were out on an evening walk. The disagreement reportedly began when the elderly couple requested the women to leash their dog, a gesture that allegedly prompted a heated response from the pet’s owners. In the viral video, one woman can be heard saying, “I can do a lot of things. Aise thappad marungi na,” before slapping the elderly woman. Moments later, she allegedly slapped the elderly man as well, as shocked onlookers urged her to stop. One resident behind the camera can be heard repeatedly exclaiming, “Oh my God!” while another questions, “What the hell are you doing?” Nearby residents reportedly rushed to intervene, and the incident quickly gained traction online.

Responding to the situation, Deputy Commissioner of Police Noida confirmed that Sector-113 police station had filed a case following a complaint from the elderly couple. “We are taking legal action and will ensure appropriate steps are followed based on the complaint,” DCP Noida stated.

This recent clash follows a string of pet-related disputes across the region. In March, a conflict over a pet dog in Bihar similarly erupted into violence, leading to injuries on both sides. In that incident, an altercation between neighbors Amarendra Giri and Sunny Bharti escalated after Bharti hit Giri’s dog, leading to a physical clash involving sticks and stones. Six people were reportedly hospitalized as a result.

The Noida case has further underscored rising tensions surrounding pet ownership and etiquette in high-density urban environments, with an increasing need for awareness and guidelines to prevent similar incidents.
