    Lok Sabha Polls 2024: How Political Parties Performed State-wise

    The BJP-led NDA has secured a decisive majority in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections with 292 seats. The BJP alone won 240 seats, JD(U) 12, and Telugu Desam 16. The INDIA Bloc won 233 seats, with Congress securing 99, Trinamool Congress 29, and Samajwadi Party 37.

    Prominent winners include Prime Minister Narendra Modi (Varanasi), Union Minister Amit Shah (Gandhinagar), Om Birla (Kota), and Dimple Yadav (Mainpuri). Notable losers are BJP leaders Arjun Munda (Khunti) and Smriti Irani (Amethi), and National Conference leader Omar Abdullah (Baramullah).

    In Uttar Pradesh, the Samajwadi Party won 37 seats, the BJP 33, Congress 6, and Rashtriya Lok Dal 2. Apna Dal (Soneylal) and Aazad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) won one seat each, while the BSP won none. Rahul Gandhi of Congress won from Rae Bareli, and Akhilesh Yadav of Samajwadi Party from Kanauj.

    In Bihar, BJP and JD(U) each won 12 seats. BJP leaders Dr. Sanjay Jaiswal, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Giriraj Singh, and Radha Mohan Singh were among the winners. Lok Janshakti Party (Ramvilas) won five seats, Rashtriya Janata Dal four, Congress three, and CPIM (ML) two. Jitan Ram Manjhi of Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) won from Gaya.

    In Delhi, BJP swept all seven seats. Bansuri Swaraj won from New Delhi, Praveen Khandelwal from Chandni Chowk, Ramvir Singh Bidhuri from South Delhi, Manoj Tiwari from North-East Delhi, Yogendra Chandoliya from North-West Delhi, Kamaljeet Sehrawat from West Delhi, and Harsh Malhotra from East Delhi.

    In Punjab, Congress won 7 out of 13 seats, Aam Aadmi Party 3, Shiromani Akali Dal 1, and Independents 2. In Haryana, both BJP and Congress secured five seats each. In Chandigarh, Congress’s Manish Tewari won against BJP’s Sanjay Tandon.

    In Jammu and Kashmir, BJP and National Conference each won two seats, with one seat going to an Independent candidate. BJP won all four seats in Himachal Pradesh and all five in Uttarakhand. In Rajasthan, BJP won 14 out of 25 seats, and Congress 8.

    In Gujarat, BJP secured a massive 25-seat win out of 26. In Maharashtra, out of 48 seats, BJP won 9, Congress 13, Shiv Sena (Uddhav) 9, Shiv Sena (Shinde) 7, NCP (Pawar) 8, and Independents 1. BJP won all 29 seats in Madhya Pradesh.

    In Chhattisgarh, BJP won 10 seats. In Odisha, BJP impressed with 20 seats, while Congress won just one. In Jharkhand, BJP won 8 seats, AJSU Party 1, JMM 3, and Congress 2.

    In West Bengal, Trinamool Congress won 29 seats. Prominent winners included Abhishek Banerjee and Shatrughan Prasad Sinha. BJP won 9 seats in Assam, Congress 3, Asom Gana Parishad 1, and United People’s Party (Liberal) 1. BJP took both seats in Tripura, with former CM Biplab Kumar Deb winning from Tripura West.

    In Arunachal Pradesh, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju won from Arunachal West. Congress took both seats in Manipur. In Meghalaya, Congress won one seat and the Voice of the People Party another. Sikkim Krantikari Morcha won the sole Sikkim seat.

    In Telangana, BJP and Congress each won 8 seats, AIMIM 1. In Tamil Nadu, DMK won 22 seats, Congress 9, VCK 2, CPI 2, CPI(M) 2, MDMK 1, and IUML 1. In Kerala, Congress-led UDF won 18 out of 20 seats, with Rahul Gandhi retaining Wayanad.

    In Karnataka, BJP won 17 out of 28 seats, Congress 9, and JDS 2. BJP performed remarkably in Odisha with 20 seats, while BJD lost all seats and Congress won 1.
