In England, the right to vote will now be available at the age of 16

The minimum age to vote in Britain has now been reduced from 18 to 16 years. The government has announced that now 16 and 17 year olds can also vote in the next general elections. The last change in the voting age in Britain was in 1969, when it was reduced from 21 to 18 years.
