    6 Killed As Fire Breaks Out In Multi-Storey Building In Delhi’s Pitampura

    A fire broke out in a multi-story building in the Pitampura neighborhood of northwest Delhi on Thursday night, leaving six people dead and one injured.
    The cause of the fire, which started on the building’s first floor, was still unknown.

    Eight fire tenders were called to the scene at 8 pm regarding the fire at Plot No. 37, ZP Block, Pitampura, according to the fire officials.

    With the assistance of the local police, seven people were saved and taken to Babu Jagjivan Ram Hospital. At the hospital, six of them—four of them women—were pronounced dead, according to a Delhi Fire Services (DFS) official.

    An additional DFS officer stated that the cooling process had started and the fire had been extinguished in an hour.

    According to a police officer, the building’s first floor caught fire, and the three stories above it were completely enveloped in smoke.

    Preliminary reports indicate that two distinct families were among the deceased in the incident. According to him, the deceased ranged in age from 25 to 60.

    There was a parking area on the ground floor while people lived on the remaining floors, he further said.
