A stampede broke out at the famous Ashok Dham Temple in Bihar’s Lakhisarai district on Monday morning amid heavy crowds. Large numbers of devotees had gathered to offer water to Lord Shiva on the occasion of Sawan Monday. At least seven people were killed and several others reportedly suffered serious injuries. Police and administration officials launched relief operations.
