The Union Health Ministry has banned the sale of Nimesulide tablets exceeding 100 mg. This decision has been taken under Section 26A of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act due to health risks. According to the ministry, its high dosage is dangerous for human health. It is worth mentioning that it was already banned for children in 2011.
