China has strongly objected to the mention of China-India relations in a US Department of Defense report. The report stated that China wants to stabilize relations with India by taking advantage of the de-escalation of tensions along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). The Chinese Foreign Ministry accused the US of hindering efforts to improve relations and misrepresenting its defense policy.
