This year, Dhanteras shopping has set a new record. According to the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), Indians spent approximately ₹1 lakh crore on Dhanteras. Gold and silver purchases played a major role in this. CAIT reported on Saturday (October 18) that sales of gold and silver alone totaled ₹60,000 crore, a 25% increase from last year.
