Islamabad: Pakistan has strongly objected to any move to restrict its water supply, warning that such actions would have serious consequences. Officials stated that the Indus Waters Treaty remains in force and cannot be terminated unilaterally by India. The remarks come amid renewed discussions over water-sharing arrangements and rising diplomatic tensions between the two neighbouring countries.
