New Delhi: The Election Commission announced October 16 as the polling date for biennial elections to 11 Rajya Sabha seats across Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Ten seats will become vacant as members’ terms end on November 25. The same day, a bypoll will be held for a West Bengal Rajya Sabha seat left vacant after TMC leader Rukmini Malik resigned.
