Gold and silver prices surged sharply in the domestic bullion market. Silver jumped ₹5,927 to reach ₹2.25 lakh per kilogram, while the price of 10 grams of gold rose ₹2,760 to ₹1.46 lakh. Gold has gained nearly ₹13,000 so far this year, supported by strong demand and global market uncertainty.
