Srinagar: The first ceremonial worship of Baba Barfani was performed ahead of this year’s Amarnath Yatra, with the Lieutenant Governor offering prayers at the holy shrine. The annual pilgrimage is scheduled to begin on July 3. Meanwhile, security agencies have conducted extensive trial runs and preparedness drills to ensure the safety and smooth movement of devotees during the yatra.
