The Amarnath Yatra began on July 3. On the first day, till 7.15 pm, 12,348 devotees had darshan of the ice Shivling in the holy cave. These included 9,181 men and 2,223 women. 99 children, 122 sadhus, 7 sadhvis, 708 security personnel and 8 transgender devotees also arrived for darshan.
