Monsoon arrived in the northeastern states of the country on 29 May. Even after 5 days, the monsoon is still there. Due to this, there is heavy rain in Manipur, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Meghalaya, Mizoram and Sikkim. More than 5.35 lakh people of 1254 villages in 22 districts of Assam are affected by floods. So far 11 people have died in floods and landslides.
