Shortly after Prime Minister Narendra Modi named him as one of the four astronauts undergoing training for the historic Gaganyaan mission, Malayalam actor Lena announced on her Instagram account on Tuesday that she was married to Indian Air Force Fighter Pilot Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair.
The ‘Sneham’ star additionally uploaded a picture of herself and Nair chatting with S Somanath, the chairman of ISRO.

She announced on social media that she was awaiting this momentous announcement to inform everyone that she and Nair had been married through an arranged union on January 17.

Lena described Nair’s receipt of the Astronaut Wing from the Prime Minister as a “historic moment of pride”.
“Our Prime Minister Modi ji awarded Indian Air Force Fighter Pilot Group Captain Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair the First Indian Astronaut Wings today, February 27, 2024. This is a historic occasion for which I am proud as well as for our nation and the state of Kerala”.
“In order to maintain the officially required confidentiality, I was waiting for this announcement to let you know that I got married to Prasanth on 17 January, 2024 in a traditional ceremony through an arranged marriage,” the actor stated.

Earlier in the day, residents of Nenmara erupted in joy as the Prime Minister unveiled the names of four astronauts which included Group Captain Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair. The other three astronauts are — Group Captains Angad Pratap, Ajit Krishnan, and Wing Commander Shubhanshu Shukla.
