Massive anti-inflation protests sweep Europe sparking violent clashes, mass arrests, and military deployment

Widespread protests against inflation, housing shortages, and pension cuts rocked Europe on Saturday. Over 1,000 demonstrators were detained across France amid 400,000-strong rallies, while Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni deployed 500 troops to Milan following clashes near Rome’s Colosseum. Violent student-led unrest also hit Albania’s capital, as thousands marched in Madrid demanding pension reforms.
