Teaser Release of Salman Khan’s ‘Sikandar’ Postponed Following Former PM Manmohan Singh’s Demise

The much-anticipated teaser of Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna’s upcoming film Sikandar was initially set to release today, coinciding with Salman Khan’s birthday. However, the makers have decided to postpone the teaser release as a mark of respect for the late former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who passed away recently.

The announcement was made by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment through their official X (formerly Twitter) handle. Their statement read:

“In light of the passing of our esteemed former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Ji, we regret to announce that the release of the Sikandar teaser has been postponed to 28th December 11:07 AM. Our thoughts are with the nation during this time of mourning. Thank you for understanding. – #TeamSikandar.”

The statement came just hours before the teaser’s originally scheduled release.

Despite the postponement, the film’s team had a surprise for fans yesterday, unveiling Salman Khan’s first look from Sikandar. The poster presents Salman in a striking silhouette, holding a sharp spear-like weapon, exuding power and mystery. This marks Salman’s return to the big screen after a year-long hiatus, following his last release, Tiger 3, in 2023.

Directed by A R Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Sikandar promises to be an action-packed spectacle blending drama and emotion. The film reunites Salman Khan with Nadiadwala after their successful collaboration on Kick (2014). Rashmika Mandanna and Kajal Aggarwal will play pivotal roles alongside Salman in this mega project, set to release in theatres on Eid 2025.

Fans eagerly await the 80-second teaser, which will now premiere tomorrow, December 28, at 11:07 AM.
