In a shocking incident, a seven-year-old boy was allegedly beaten, stripped, and subjected to electric shocks by his teacher at a private school in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. The incident reportedly occurred after the child forgot to bring his school bag.
The ordeal came to light when the child returned home in tears and informed his mother, leading the family to file a complaint with the police. Authorities began their investigation on Monday, following the family’s report.
On the day of the incident, the boy’s grandfather had taken him to school, as his father was away and his mother was unwell. The family, residents of Bharat Nagla village under the jurisdiction of the Lodha police station, claimed that the boy, a student in the Upper Kindergarten (UKG) class, was “severely” beaten by his teacher. The teacher’s identity has not yet been disclosed.
The school’s principal, however, denied the allegations. “The claims that the child was given electric shocks are false. We are prepared to show the CCTV footage. The accusations are unsubstantiated,” the principal said.
Rajveer Singh Parmar, the officer in charge at Lodha police station, confirmed that an investigation had been launched. “We have started questioning the school staff and administrators,” Parmar stated. “A case will be registered based on the written complaint.”
The incident has sparked protests from the child’s family, who visited the school to demand accountability. As the investigation continues, the authorities are working to determine the veracity of the claims.
