According to a civic official on Sunday, at least 12 people were hospitalized in the last two days for possible food poisoning after consuming a non-vegetarian street food item in Mumbai’s Goregaon neighborhood.
Nine out of the twelve, he said, have been released from the hospital, and the remaining three are recovering.
After consuming chicken shawarma on Friday, the incident happened at Satellite Tower in the Santosh Nagar neighborhood of Goregaon (East), he said.
Twelve individuals reported experiencing food poisoning on Friday and Saturday. They were given hospital admissions. Without going into detail about whether the food was consumed by the 12 people at a hotel or shop, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) official stated, “While nine people were discharged, three others are undergoing treatment.”
