NEW DELHI: The BJP announced eight candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh, dropping all sitting members from its list. Union ministers Hardeep Singh Puri and BL Verma were also denied renomination. The fresh list includes candidates from different social groups and regions. The elections are scheduled for October 16, with nominations closing soon.
