NEW DELHI: Silver prices witnessed a massive surge of ₹4,000 today, reaching a record high of ₹2.52 lakh per kg. Gold also edged up by ₹46, trading at ₹1.56 lakh per 10 grams. Notably, gold has become more expensive by ₹23,000 so far this year. Analysts attribute this sharp rise to global economic uncertainty and a spike in demand for safe-haven assets.
