WASHINGTON: President Donald Trump has increased the global import tariff to 15% just one day after the US Supreme Court struck down his previous trade duties. After initially signing a 10% tariff order on Friday night, Trump raised the rate to the “legally allowed” 15% on Saturday, citing the need to address “large and serious” balance-of-payments deficits.
