Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge launched a scathing attack on the Modi government, alleging that those in power are engaging in politics with “Ram’s name on their lips but a dagger in their hearts.” Calling MNREGA the voice of the poor, he warned that weakening the scheme would be a betrayal of the working class, and the opposition would strongly protest against it both inside and outside Parliament.
