Congress President and Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge (83), was admitted to a hospital in Bengaluru on Tuesday. His son, Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge, shared the news on Twitter on Wednesday. Kharge wrote, “Mallikarjun Kharge has been advised to get a pacemaker and has been admitted to the hospital as part of a pre-planned procedure. His condition is stable.”
