Kazakhstan’s Alexander Bublik caused a major upset at the Halle Grass Tournament by defeating the reigning champion Jannik Sinner. World No. 1 Sinner was beaten 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 by Bublik, who is ranked 45th. This is the first time since summer 2023 that Sinner has been defeated by a player ranked outside the top 20.
