Air Force Aircraft Crashes Near Panchkula, Haryana Pilot ejects safely

An Indian Air Force (IAF) Jaguar fighter jet crashed near Panchkula in Haryana on Friday due to a system malfunction. The pilot successfully steered the aircraft away from populated areas before ejecting safely.

The jet had taken off from Ambala airbase on a training mission.

A video showed the wreckage of the aircraft scattered on the ground, with some parts still on fire. The SHO of Raipurrani, Panchkula district, was quoted by PTI stating, “The IAF aircraft crashed in the hilly terrain of Panchkula district. The pilot ejected safely.”

The IAF has launched an investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
