Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan has sold his luxurious duplex apartment in Oshiwara, Mumbai, for an impressive Rs 83 crore, according to property registration documents. The property, located in The Atlantis, a high-end residential project by Crystal Group, spans across 1.55 acres and offers spacious 4, 5, and 6 BHK apartments.

The duplex apartment was originally purchased by Bachchan in April 2021 for Rs 31 crore. Its resale at Rs 83 crore represents a staggering 168% appreciation in value, according to an analysis by Square Yards based on a review of IGR registration documents. The sale transaction was finalized and registered in January 2025.

The premium duplex spans a built-up area of 529.94 sqm (approximately 5,704 sqft) and a carpet area of 481.75 sqm (5,185.62 sqft). Additionally, it boasts an expansive terrace of 445.93 sqm (nearly 4,800 sqft) and includes six mechanized car parking spaces. The transaction incurred a stamp duty payment of Rs 4.98 crore and registration charges of Rs 30,000.

Notably, the apartment was rented out to Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon in November 2021 for a monthly rent of Rs 10 lakh, with a security deposit of Rs 60 lakh, as per IGR lease documents reviewed by Square Yards.

Oshiwara, a thriving neighbourhood in western Mumbai, is celebrated for its vibrant lifestyle and strategic proximity to the Lokhandwala Complex. Well-connected by roads and the Mumbai Metro, the area offers a seamless blend of modern living and urban convenience.
