Ram Kapoor Praises Rakhi Sawant for Her Journey in Bollywood, Claims Industry Tried to Misuse Her

Renowned actor Ram Kapoor recently opened up about Rakhi Sawant’s journey in Bollywood, shedding light on her struggles and accomplishments. Speaking to Siddharth Kannan in an interview, Kapoor revealed how Rakhi has built a name for herself in the Hindi film industry despite having no godfather or connections.

Ram Kapoor first crossed paths with Rakhi Sawant in 2009 when he hosted her reality show ‘Rakhi Ka Swayamvar.’ The show, which aired from June 29, 2009, to August 2, 2009, concluded with Rakhi getting engaged to Elesh Parujanwala, a businessman from Toronto, Canada. However, the engagement did not last long, and the couple split a few months after the show.

During the interview, Kapoor expressed his admiration for Rakhi’s resilience and determination. “Today, the entire nation knows Rakhi Sawant’s name,” Kapoor said. “She lives in a 3 BHK sea-facing apartment in Mumbai, which I have been to, and she owns it. Respect! She achieved this herself.”

Kapoor acknowledged that he may not always agree with Rakhi’s views or antics, but he respects her for carving her path in a challenging industry. “I might not agree with her philosophy, madness… she says outrageous things, but whatever she is, she made her life by herself,” he added.

The actor also shed light on the darker side of Rakhi’s journey, revealing how the industry tried to take advantage of her. “She was a nice, sexy dancer, and the industry wanted to misuse her. She has gone through many bad experiences. Despite having no godfather or support, she has made it on her own. I saw this closely during ‘Rakhi Ka Swayamvar.’”

Meanwhile, Ram Kapoor has been making headlines for his remarkable physical transformation. The actor has undergone a significant weight loss journey, shedding 55 kilos. He reduced his weight from 140 kilos to 85 kilos over five years. In a podcast with Devna Gandhi, Kapoor shared insights into his transformation. “For five years, I was on a weight loss roller coaster, losing 30 kilos and then gaining it back. But finally, I achieved my goal,” he said.
