The supporters of the Indian cricket team are looking forward to seeing Virat Kohli again. It’s unclear if the former captain of the Indian cricket team will be available for the final three Test matches against England after missing the first two. There have been rumors regarding Virat Kohli’s absence ever since he decided to take a break. “Respect Virat Kohli’s privacy during this time and refrain from speculating on the nature of his personal reasons” was the earlier request made by the BCCI. Now, Ab de Villiers, a former teammate of Virat Kohli’s with the Royal Challengers Bangalore, disclosed the cause of his absence from the cricket field.
“Yes, his second child is on the way. Yes, it’s family time and things are important to him. If you are not true and genuine to yourself, you lose track of what you are here for. I think most people’s priority is family. You can’t judge Virat for that. Yes, we miss him, but he has made the right decision,” he added.
“The BCCI requests the media and fans to respect Virat Kohli’s privacy during this time and refrain from speculating on the nature of his personal reasons. The focus should remain on supporting the Indian cricket team as they embark on the upcoming challenges in the Test series,” the BCCI has said in a statement.
