Man Arrested for Threatening Bollywood Star Shah Rukh Khan

Faizal Khan, a lawyer based in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, was arrested following a recent death threat made against Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The Mumbai Police apprehended Faizal after he failed to appear for questioning. The arrest follows an investigation by the police after the accused reportedly used a phone call to threaten Khan and demand a ransom of Rs 50 lakh.

According to Mumbai Police, Faizal Khan called Bandra police station last week claiming to be outside Khan’s Mumbai residence, Mannat. During the call, he reportedly said, “I am calling Shah Rukh Khan from Mannat Bandstand. If he doesn’t give me Rs 50 lakh, I will kill him.” The caller identified himself as “Hindustani” when questioned about his identity and motive.

Mumbai Police immediately registered a case against the unidentified caller, citing offences under sections 308(4) and 351(3)(4) BNS. Sources confirmed that a Mumbai Police team traveled to Raipur to investigate the matter further, eventually tracing the call to Faizal Khan. The accused initially claimed that he had lost the phone used in the call, which reportedly delayed his cooperation with the police.

Shah Rukh Khan, who has been the target of threats since the release of his successful films Pathaan and Jawan, has yet to comment on this recent incident. In light of previous threats, Khan was granted Y+ security, and he is regularly seen with an extensive security entourage.
