Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour has been a whirlwind of unforgettable moments, but not everything goes as planned! During her concert in Miami on October 18, Swift, 34, encountered a minor wardrobe issue that nearly disrupted her performance. While singing “But Daddy I Love Him” from The Tortured Poets Department segment, her microphone pack became loose, leading to an unexpected pause.
In a TikTok video that quickly went viral, Swift can be seen reaching behind her custom Vivienne Westwood gown, indicating that something was off. Swift’s backup dancers swiftly jumped into action, unzipping her dress to properly secure the microphone pack, allowing her to continue her performance without further interruptions. Fans praised the dancers for their quick thinking, which helped avert a potential mishap on stage.
Swift’s Vivienne Westwood gown, a standout piece from The Tortured Poets Department, featured a sleeveless ball gown design with a corseted bodice. The skirt was inscribed with lyrics from her song “Fortnight.” Underneath, Swift wore a black bodysuit, which facilitated a smooth transition into her circus-themed outfit for the following song, “I Can Do It with a Broken Heart.”
Despite the wardrobe hiccup, Friday night’s concert was filled with surprises. During the Reputation segment, Swift unveiled a striking new Roberto Cavalli catsuit, igniting speculation among fans that Reputation (Taylor’s Version) may be on the horizon. The sleek black one-legged catsuit featured intertwined gold snakes, reminiscent of the snake imagery from her Reputation era. Notably, one of the snakes on the outfit formed the number two, sparking curiosity about the timing of her re-recorded album’s release.
The Miami concert also featured a special guest appearance by Florence Welch. Swift invited her longtime friend and collaborator on stage to perform their song “Florida!!!” The pair shared an emotional moment, embracing at the song’s conclusion, much to the audience’s delight. Welch later expressed her gratitude on Instagram, thanking Swift for the opportunity to perform.
Among the star-studded audience were Tom Brady, Serena Williams, and Today Show hosts Hoda Kotb, Jenna Bush Hager, and Savannah Guthrie, among others. Swift’s tour is set to continue with stops in New Orleans, Indianapolis, and Canada before concluding the record-breaking Eras Tour.
