Former US President Donald Trump Claims Life Under “Big Threat” from Iran

Former US President Donald Trump has revealed that his life is under a “big threat” from Iran, according to a post made on Wednesday on X, formerly known as Twitter. Trump, currently a Republican presidential candidate, stated that the threats are serious, adding that the US military and intelligence agencies are closely monitoring the situation.

“Big threats on my life by Iran. The entire US Military is watching and waiting. Moves were already made by Iran that didn’t work out, but they will try again. Not a good situation for anyone. I am surrounded by more men, guns, and weapons than I have ever seen before,” Trump said.

The former president’s statement follows a briefing by US intelligence agencies earlier this week, informing him of “real and specific” assassination threats allegedly coming from Iran. The threats, according to Trump’s campaign, are intended to destabilize the US and “sow chaos.”

Steven Cheung, Trump’s campaign communications director, confirmed that Trump had been briefed by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence on Tuesday. “President Trump was briefed earlier today regarding real and specific threats from Iran to assassinate him,” Cheung said in a statement.

Trump also thanked the US Congress for its swift and unanimous approval of increased funding for the Secret Service, which is responsible for his protection. “Thank you to Congress for unanimously approving far more money to the Secret Service – Zero ‘NO’ Votes, strictly bipartisan. Nice to see Republicans and Democrats get together on something,” Trump remarked.

The development comes after reports of two previous assassination attempts on Trump’s life, which were allegedly foiled. Though no further details on the attempts were disclosed, Trump warned that any attack on a former president would carry dire consequences. “An attack on a former President is a Death Wish for the attacker!” Trump wrote.

US intelligence agencies, along with military forces, continue to monitor the evolving situation, while heightened security measures are in place to protect the former president.
