Chief Justice of India said the judiciary does not have to wait for Parliament to act in serious matters. Referring to the growing threat of digital arrest scams, the CJI said the Supreme Court had taken suo motu cognisance of the issue. The court has also asked the Centre to consider bringing a stringent law to tackle digital arrest and related cyber fraud.
