New Delhi: Satellite images show a significant absence of monsoon clouds over large parts of India, increasing concerns in 16 states, including Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, where residents are still waiting for widespread rainfall. According to weather data, the country recorded 64% below-normal rainfall between June 4 and June 15. The slow progress of the monsoon has raised worries among farmers and affected preparations for the agricultural season.
