NEW DELHI: In a historic verdict, the Supreme Court has allowed passive euthanasia for 31-year-old Harish Rana, who remained in a vegetative state for 13 years. A bench of Justices JB Pardiwala and KV Viswanathan directed AIIMS to admit Rana and gradually withdraw life-sustaining treatment with dignity. This marks a significant milestone in India’s legal history regarding the “Right to Die with Dignity.”
