Mumbai/New Delhi: Precious metals witnessed a massive correction in the domestic market as prices continued to slide. Gold prices have plummeted by ₹8,720 in just three days, bringing the rate down to ₹1.59 lakh per 10 grams. Silver saw an even sharper decline, falling by ₹29,125 to settle at ₹2.61 lakh per kg. Notably, silver has become cheaper by a staggering ₹1.25 lakh in the last 36 days. Analysts attribute this sharp decline to cooling global demand and shifting investor sentiment amidst geopolitical changes.
