KABUL/ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Air Force carried out overnight airstrikes in Afghanistan’s Nangarhar and Paktika provinces, targeting what it described as seven hideouts of the TTP and ISKP. Afghan officials report that at least 17 civilians, including 12 children from one family, were killed when a house was struck in Behsud. Pakistan called the strikes retribution for recent suicide attacks in Islamabad and Bannu.
