Damascus: President Ahmed al-Sharaa has announced a nationwide ceasefire following a landmark 14-point agreement with the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). The deal integrates the SDF into Syria’s military and state institutions while handing control of Raqqa, Deir ez-Zor, and Hasakah back to the government. This follows high-level talks with US special envoy Tom Barrack.
