Chief Justice of India Surya Kant has announced that citizens can approach the court at any time during a serious legal emergency or threat of arrest. Hearings can be held even at midnight to protect fundamental rights. He also stressed the need for setting up more Constitution Benches to dispose of pending cases like Sabarimala.
