Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Oman on Thursday to meet with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq. A bilateral meeting between the two leaders is currently underway. A trade agreement between India and Oman is expected to be signed shortly. The agreement will directly benefit Indian sectors such as textiles, footwear, automobiles, gems and jewelry, renewable energy, and auto components. Negotiations on the agreement began in November 2023.
