The first mega auction of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) is underway in New Delhi. So far, India’s Deepti Sharma has received the highest bid. She was purchased by the Uttar Pradesh Warriors for ₹3.2 crore (3.2 crore rupees). Deepti was originally purchased by Delhi for ₹50 lakh (50 lakh rupees). Uttar Pradesh then used their Right to Match (RTM) card on her.
