An FIR was registered late Thursday night against 15 officers, including Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, DGP Shatrughan Kapoor and Rohtak SP Narendra Bijarnia, in the suicide case of senior Haryana IPS officer Y Puran Kumar. Based on the suicide note, Chandigarh Police registered FIR number 156 at Sector 11 police station under sections 108, 3(5) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and section 3(1)(r) of the SC/ST Act.
