US President Donald Trump has announced a 100% tariff on branded or patented medicines. This tariff will take effect on October 1, 2025. This tax will not apply to companies setting up their own pharmaceutical plants in the US. The US President has already imposed a 50% tariff on India. This tariff went into effect on August 27.
