The Pakistan Cricket Board had complained to the ICC about the no handshake issue and demanded the removal of the match referee. The ICC has rejected this demand. This practice of not shaking hands with the Pakistani players will continue throughout the tournament. There is a mutual agreement on this between the players, BCCI and the government.
