Monsoon has entered 17 states in the country. Rains have started in Chhattisgarh and Odisha on Wednesday. Chhattisgarh has received more than 111 inches (2840 mm) of rain in the last 5 days. This is about 6 times more than the normal rainfall in May. Normally, only 430 to 450 mm of rain falls in May.
