Under Operation Sindoor, India deployed T-72 tanks on the Line of Control (LoC) in Akhnoor sector of Jammu and Kashmir. A senior officer said on Tuesday that T-72 tanks were an important part of this operation. T-72 tanks are still deployed on the LoC along with BMP-2 armored vehicles to completely seal the infiltration routes.
