The Indian Army has given the honorary title of Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army to star javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra. Neeraj has been given this honor for his exceptional contribution to sports and his commitment to the nation. The Ministry of Defense announced this on Wednesday, May 14. Neeraj Chopra was earlier in the Indian Army as a Subedar. He was made Subedar in 2018.
